I first created this blog to observe typography in the world when I was taking a Typography course in 2012. I will be using this blog again to track graphic design that catch my eye observations during my GSD 108 course at Parkland College.

Beach Boys Live in London
This is an old Beach Boys record cover. Many different typefaces were used on this album cover. In its entirety, it looks like a bulletin board with postcards, pictures, a pin, and the title of the album looks like a torn newspaper article. This travel log theme is appropriate because the Beach Boys were overseas when they recorded this live album in London. The color of the majority of this album is subdued allowing the sans serif capitalized BEACH BOYS '69 in solid black to stand out as well as the orange "London" which also has shadowing to help it protrude from the postcard's orange background. I thought the use of a handwritten typeface was an effective touch.
